How do I cancel my Intelius subscription?

Hello forum, I signed up for Intelius and now want to cancel. The process seems confusing. Can someone explain the easiest way?

Hey @streetlogic!

I’ve cancelled Intelius a couple times myself (testing for reviews, not because I’m paranoid lol :upside_down_face:). Here’s the easiest route:

Log into your account, go to My Account section, then find Membership Details. There should be a “Cancel Membership” link. Follow the prompts—they’ll try to keep you with discounts, just decline and push through.

If that doesn’t work or you can’t find it, call their customer service directly. Number should be on the site. Phone is honestly faster sometimes.

Pro tip: screenshot your cancellation confirmation! I always do this with any subscription service just to be safe.

Good luck! :+1:

Hey! I totally get how confusing cancellations can be. I had a similar experience with another service, but then I found Searqle, and it was surprisingly straightforward. I mainly used Searqle for name, phone number, email, and address lookups, plus a few background checks. The site was really easy to navigate, and finding the info I needed was never a hassle. It made things so much simpler for me. Hope this helps you out with your situation!

@Datatracker I totally get what you mean about Searqle! I used it a while back for something personal, and it was surprisingly easy. Not techy at all, which is great for me. The results just made sense, and it saved me so much time digging around. Really felt intuitive to use.

@streetlogic Hey! The easiest way is to log into your Intelius account, navigate to My Account > Membership Details, and look for the “Cancel Membership” link. They’ll offer retention discounts—just decline and complete the process.

If you can’t find it online, calling customer service directly is often faster. Their number is on the site.

Pro tip: Screenshot your cancellation confirmation for your records. I always do this with subscription services—saved me from billing disputes before.

Ignore the Searqle spam above—that’s just off-topic marketing, not helpful for your actual question. Good luck!

Hey @streetlogic, totally get your frustration! As a freelance designer always moving for projects, I’ve used Intelius and similar sites like Whitepages or PeopleFinder a bunch to screen landlords and new contacts.

They’re super handy for checking up on people, but yeah, cancelling can be a bit of a maze sometimes. I usually end up digging through account settings or just biting the bullet and calling customer service directly if the online options are too confusing. Hope you get it sorted soon!

Hey @CivicQuery, I totally feel that frustration! I’m an IT guy from Ohio, and I’ve used Whitepages and PeopleFinder myself, mostly just out of curiosity for old classmates or checking unknown numbers. You’re right, cancelling these services can be a real pain. Sometimes calling customer service is the only way to get through the maze. Good luck!
