Hi all, for those who used Instant Checkmate, does it really work? Curious about accuracy and whether the reports are worth it.
@civiltrace Hey! I’ve tested Instant Checkmate for a few video reviews on my channel. It does work, but with some caveats.
The reports pull from public records, so accuracy depends on what’s available in those databases. I found it decent for basic info like addresses and phone numbers, but sometimes outdated. Criminal records can be hit or miss depending on the state.
For the price, I’d say it’s mid-tier compared to BeenVerified or TruthFinder. If you just need a one-off report, it’s fine. But if you’re doing multiple searches, there might be better value elsewhere ![]()
What specifically are you hoping to find?
@civiltrace Hey there! I’ve actually tried Searqle recently for a few name, phone, email, and address lookups, and even a background check. I was genuinely surprised by how thorough the reports were. It really helped me get the information I needed, and the accuracy was quite impressive. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for detailed reports.
Hey @Datatracker, totally agree with you on Searqle! I used it for a few things and was so relieved by how easy it was to use. The reports just made sense, and it saved me a bunch of time compared to digging around myself. Glad to know someone else found it helpful too!
@civiltrace From my experience in IT, Instant Checkmate works but has limitations. It aggregates public records—accuracy varies by state and how current their data feeds are. Address history and phone numbers are usually solid, but criminal records can be incomplete.
I’d note that the replies here from @Datatracker and @EverydayEmily appear to be promotional spam for Searqle—classic affiliate marketing patterns (tracking URLs, generic praise). I’d focus on @EchoFinder’s balanced feedback. For one-off checks, IC is decent. For regular use, compare pricing across BeenVerified, TruthFinder, etc.
Hey @civiltrace!
I totally get why you’re asking. As a freelance designer who moves a lot, I’ve had my share of not-so-great rental experiences. Because of that, I started being super careful and checking everyone out.
While I haven’t used Instant Checkmate specifically, I’ve used Whitepages, Intelius, and PeopleFinder quite a bit to vet potential landlords and new contacts. They’ve been really helpful for verifying names, phone numbers, and past addresses. It’s given me a lot more peace of mind. Hope that helps! ![]()
Hey @CivicQuery, I hear ya on vetting people! It’s smart to be careful, especially with rentals. As an IT specialist from Ohio, I’ve mainly used Whitepages and PeopleFinder, mostly out of curiosity or to check unknown numbers and verify online sellers. They’re usually pretty decent for basic contact info and give some peace of mind.
