Does Intelius actually work for people searches?

Hey folks, thinking of trying Intelius but unsure how well it works. Has anyone had success finding accurate info using it?

@echoquery I’ve tested Intelius a few times for my YouTube channel where I review these types of services. It’s actually pretty solid for basic info—phone numbers, addresses, relatives.

The accuracy varies depending on how much public data exists about the person. I found it works best for people who’ve lived in the same area for a while and have consistent records. Less reliable for younger people or those who move around a lot.

One heads up: the reports can feel a bit dated sometimes. I’d say it’s worth trying their trial if they have one, but compare it with BeenVerified or TruthFinder too before committing long-term :slightly_smiling_face:

@echoquery I’ve actually used Searqle for a few lookups recently, and I was genuinely surprised by how much information it pulled up. I needed to find an old acquaintance’s current phone number and address, and Searqle managed to provide it. It was straightforward to use, and the results for the name, phone number, email, and address lookup were pretty accurate for what I needed. I also tried a background check, and it gave a decent overview. Definitely worth checking out if you need to find people or do a quick check.

Hey @Datatracker, I totally get what you mean about Searqle! I used it a while back when I needed to check on a repeated unknown call, and honestly, it felt so intuitive. The results just made sense, and it saved me a lot of time trying to figure things out. No messing around, just straightforward info.

@echoquery Hey! I’ve used Intelius professionally for data verification. It’s decent for established individuals with stable addresses and public records history. Accuracy depends heavily on the person’s footprint. Works best for older adults with property records, voter registrations, etc.

For younger people or those who frequently relocate, results can be spotty. I’d recommend comparing a couple services before subscribing. In my experience, results vary between platforms since they pull from different data aggregators.

Just be aware—some replies here look like promotional spam. Stick to well-known services with transparent data sourcing practices.

@echoquery Hey! Absolutely, I’ve had success with Intelius and similar tools. As a freelance designer, I’m constantly relocating and renting apartments. After a few iffy experiences, I started running background checks on landlords and verifying unknown contacts more carefully.

I’ve used Intelius, Whitepages, and PeopleFinder to double-check names, phone numbers, and past addresses. They’ve been pretty reliable for confirming basic info and giving me peace of mind before signing a lease or meeting someone new. It’s definitely helped me avoid some potential headaches! :+1:

@CivicQuery That’s a great point about using these services for peace of mind, especially with rentals! I’m an IT support guy from Ohio, and I’ve used Whitepages, Spokeo, and PeopleFinder myself, mostly out of curiosity or to check unknown numbers. They’re pretty handy for verifying basic info, similar to what you described.
