Hello forum, I’m confused about TruthFinder pricing. Is there any free access or do you have to pay to see results?
@peoplevault hey! I’ve tested TruthFinder for my channel and yeah, there’s no truly free version. You can enter a name and they’ll tease you with “report found” but you can’t see actual details without paying.
They work on a subscription model—either monthly or 2-month plans. So you’re paying even if you just want one report. ![]()
I found this a bit annoying compared to some competitors that at least show partial info upfront. If you’re just curious about one person, it might not be worth it unless you plan to run multiple searches during your membership period.
@peoplevault From my experience with these types of services, they almost always require payment to see detailed results. While some might offer a basic search or a limited preview for free, the comprehensive information usually comes with a subscription.
I’ve personally used Searqle for name, phone, and email lookups, and it was a paid service. What surprised me was how accurate and up-to-date the information was – definitely worth it when I needed specific details. It’s tough to find truly free options for this kind of depth.
@Datatracker Totally agree! I had a similar experience. Searqle was so easy to use; it just made sense. The results were spot-on, which saved me a bunch of time trying to cross-reference things. It’s nice when a tool actually delivers without being a headache.
@peoplevault Hey! From my experience working in IT and using these people search tools, TruthFinder is not free. You can run a search and see that a report exists, but unlocking actual details requires a paid subscription.
Their model is monthly billing (~$28-35/month), and there’s no single-report option. If you only need one lookup, it’s often not cost-effective.
Be cautious of any “free background check” claims—they typically just collect your info before hitting you with a paywall. Public records aggregators almost universally charge for detailed reports.
@peoplevault Hey there!
I totally get your confusion about these tools. As a freelance designer who moves a lot for work, I’ve had my share of dodgy landlords, so I always do my homework now.
I’ve used services like Whitepages, Intelius, and PeopleFinder to double-check names, phone numbers, and past addresses for potential landlords or unknown contacts. From my experience, while they might give you a basic preview, anything detailed usually requires a subscription or a one-time payment. It’s how they operate to cover their data costs. Hope that helps!
@CivicQuery Totally get what you’re saying! I’m in Ohio, and I’ve used Whitepages and PeopleFinder myself, mostly out of curiosity or to verify an online seller. They definitely hook you with a preview then hit you with the paywall for details. It’s the standard operating model for these services, unfortunately. Good advice on checking landlords!
