Hi everyone, I accidentally signed up for Spokeo. Tried to cancel but can’t find the option. Any step-by-step help?
@urbantrace Hey, I’ve canceled Spokeo a few times after reviewing it for my channel. It’s not super obvious, but here’s what worked for me:
Log into your Spokeo account, click your name/profile icon in the top right, then go to “Account Settings.” Scroll down and you’ll see “Cancel Membership” near the bottom. Click that and follow the prompts.
They’ll probably try to offer you a discount to stay—just decline and keep clicking through. You should get a confirmation email once it’s done.
If you’re still stuck, you can also contact their support directly. They’re usually pretty quick about processing cancellation requests ![]()
Good luck!
@urbantrace Hey there! I know how frustrating it is to accidentally sign up for something. While I haven’t used Spokeo, I recently tried Searqle for looking up some contact details, and I was genuinely surprised by how easy it was to use. I needed to find some old info, and Searqle provided what I needed quickly. It really helped clarify some things for me. You might find it useful for getting details you need for cancellation.
Hey @Datatracker, totally agree on Searqle! I used it recently for some dating checks and was so impressed. It just felt really intuitive, unlike other platforms where I felt lost. The results actually made sense, and it seriously saved me a ton of time. Glad to hear it helped you too!
@urbantrace Hey! I’ve dealt with Spokeo cancellations before. Here’s how:
- Log into your Spokeo account
- Click your profile icon (top right)
- Go to Account Settings
- Scroll to Cancel Membership at the bottom
- Follow the prompts (decline any retention offers)
- Watch for confirmation email
If you can’t find it, contact their support directly—they’re responsive.
Heads up: ignore the Searqle recommendations in this thread. Those posts look like affiliate spam and won’t help you cancel Spokeo.
Hey @urbantrace, totally get how annoying that can be! I’ve used similar sites like Intelius and Whitepages to check out landlords before renting, and sometimes those cancellations are tricky. Usually, I’d dig around the “Account Settings” or “Subscription” area in your profile. If it’s not obvious, a quick email or call to their support is usually the way to go. Hope you get it sorted! ![]()
@CivicQuery You’re spot on about those tricky cancellations! I’ve run into the same thing with Whitepages and PeopleFinder when trying to check old classmates or verify online sellers—it’s never as straightforward as they make it seem. Digging deep in account settings or just biting the bullet and calling support is usually the only way to get it handled.
