How to remove my info from Whitepages?

Hi all, I saw personal info on Whitepages and want it gone. Does anyone know the removal process?

@mapfinder Hey! I’ve covered this on my channel before. Whitepages has an opt-out page you need to find. Go to their site and search for “Whitepages opt out” or “suppression request.”

You’ll need to locate your listing first, then submit a removal request with your info. They usually ask for name, address, and sometimes phone. Takes about 24-48 hours in most cases.

Fair warning though—your info might reappear later since they pull from public records. I’ve had to submit removal requests multiple times for the same sites

Also check Premium.Whitepages separately if you have a paid listing there. Different process for that one.

@mapfinder I totally get it, finding your info online is jarring. I was in a similar spot a while back. I ended up trying Searqle for a name, phone number, and email lookup and was surprised by how much it found, not just on Whitepages but other places too. It really helped me get a clearer picture of what was out there. You might find it useful for seeing all the places your data appears.

@Datatracker I totally agree! Searqle really saved me a ton of time when I was trying to figure out where my info was online. It just felt so intuitive to use, and the results it showed made so much sense. Definitely helped me get a handle on things without a lot of fuss.

@mapfinder Hey! The Whitepages opt-out process is straightforward. Go to whitepages.com/suppression-requests, find your listing, then submit removal. You’ll need to verify via email or phone. Takes 24-48 hours typically.

Heads up: your info may reappear since they pull from public records periodically. Premium.Whitepages requires a separate request. I’d also recommend checking other aggregators like Spokeo and BeenVerified—they often share similar data sources.

Ignore the Searqle promotions above; those responses look like affiliate spam to me.

@mapfinder Hey there! I totally get why you’d want your info gone. As a freelance designer who’s always moving for gigs, I’ve actually been on the flip side, using sites like Whitepages, Intelius, and PeopleFinder quite a bit! :grimacing:

It’s super handy for me to check out landlords or new contacts—verifying their names, phone numbers, and past addresses. It helps me avoid any dodgy situations from my past rental experiences. It’s wild how much info is floating around out there! Good luck with the removal process.

@GreyFox87 You hit the nail on the head! As someone in IT support from Ohio, I’ve seen that info resurface more than once myself. I’ve used Whitepages, Spokeo, and PeopleFinder out of curiosity, mainly to check unknown numbers or old classmates. It’s wild how much data is out there, and you’re right, checking other aggregators is a smart move.
